Fulltone Ocd Version Differences

I had a couple of Fulltone pedals, including an OCD (not sure what version) and I couldn't live with them for some reason. They sounded good but not great to me and for whatever reason I just could not get them to play well with other pedals. Sold them off eventually.

Ok. I have a Catalinbread Galileo, lovepedal od 11, and fuzzy lady (all Ge). I have a fender DRRI, Marshall 1974x, a stock 58 vos les Paul, a stock traditional plus goldtop, and a 52 reissue tele. I've decided it's time to round out the overdrive section of my board with an OCD. Price point doesn't really matter. I play all kinds of music but would obviously use this for rock stuff at church and the occasional jam.
I dig a midrange tone and need a pretty good volume taper. Nothing too bright or super loud. Which OCD version should I get? I'm leaning toward v4. Give it to me straight MLP!
