Monodevelop For Windows 10
I liked MonoDevelop so much more than Visual Studio on Windows. But recently I was going to update it and found out that there is no builds for Windows. It seems Microsoft forbid them to make Windows builds after they bought Xamarin. I tried JetBrains Rider, which is pretty good, but a bit slower than MonoDevelop, and is not free to use. It was only tested on linux but should run fine on Windows and Mac OS. MonoDevelop (also known as Xamarin Studio) is an open-source integrated development environment for Linux, macOS, and Windows. According to the Installation Guide (https://www.mono-project.com/docs/getting-started/install/windows/), the command prompt is correct.
The installer creates a “Open Mono Command Prompt” shortcut under the Mono program group in the start menu. This shortcut starts a command shell with Mono-relevant path information already configured, which means all the Mono tools “just work”.
