Such beautiful poetry, you can truly feel and hear the pain, love and hurt in her voice.
This book was very powerful! I'm grateful to have heard it on Audiobooks. The author was also the narrator and you could feel her passion, her authenticity, and of course her voice was perfectly suited for the material as it should be.I had to pause it many times to capture the quotes that were so rich! While the materials was dark at times, I am inspired by her insights.I actually will now buy the hard copy so that I can refer to it in the future. Not for the faint of heart.
great book! I really enjoyed it. the narration was quite good. I thought the voice fit the book swell.
this was amazing and very touching. I love the music breaking up every section and the Tone of her voice. the only thing that I didn't like was the sort of unnecessary two liners in here and the way she was stretching some of the words, maybe for dramatic effect.
I did not enjoy this book and reading . It seemed very dark and sad to me.
Reading was a bit too slow for my liking, too long and paused. I understand that it is poems she is reading but it got frustrating at times. Didn't love the book but also did not dislike it. I'm happy I had the chance to read and listen to it.
I have the print copy of this. So visceral. So beautiful. I'm glad to see it's on audiobooks now, but as a poet, I recommend also reading it for yourself.
Definitely had some jaw dropping moments but there were also pieces that just didn't interest me. Good book overall though.
